During my internship at Lincoln Property Company in Charlotte, I gained comprehensive, hands-on experience across various areas of real estate, including property management, financial analysis, tenant representation, and construction. This role allowed me to apply my academic knowledge from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business and the Blackwood Department of Real Estate to real-world scenarios, providing a deeper understanding of the industry.

I conducted thorough market research for tenant and landlord teams, analyzing trends in residential developments and new employment areas to inform strategic leasing decisions. I also created lease abstracts for both office and retail segments, giving me practical experience in managing high-rise offices, office parks, and luxury retail centers.

A highlight of my internship was touring 620 S Tryon Street, a significant development project in Charlotte. This opportunity allowed me to witness the full scope of real estate development—from financial planning and property acquisition to construction, management, and lease-up. By working closely on these diverse aspects, I developed a well-rounded perspective on how various components of the real estate industry come together to drive successful projects.
